Course Summary

Medical Therapeutics, Semester A, is the first part of a two-semester course. In this course, you will identify employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in medical therapeutics and create a career plan. You will describe communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Then, you will learn about laws, ethics, and workplace and equipment safety. You will also learn about electronic health records and the health care delivery system. Next, you will describe the body systems, such as the musculoskeletal, integumentary, digestive, endocrine, respiratory, and nervous systems. You will identify diseases and disorders of these body systems. Finally, you will demonstrate proficiency in the use of medical terminology. This course consists of 12 lessons organized into four units, four Unit Activities, and four Discussions. Additionally, there is one Course Activity and one Course Project that you need to complete at the end of the course.
