Course Summary

Allied Health Careers, Semester A, is the first part of a two-semester course. The course begins with an overview of the health care delivery system and allied health services. You will also be introduced to medical terminology. As you progress in the course, you will learn about the structures and functions of various human body systems. You will become familiar with common diseases and disorders that affect each body system along with their diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Additionally, you will explore the strategies and factors that influence health and wellness.
